Udita Ladies Club, NTPC Farakka, celebrated its Annual Day 2024 on 20th July at the Plant Auditorium, Admin Building. The celebration commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Shri Ramakanta Panda, HOP Farakka, accompanied by Smt. Niva Panda, President Udita Ladies Club.

Shri AK Patra, GM (O&M), Shri S. Satheesh, GM (BE & EMG); Shri Debabrata Kar, GM (Maintenance); Shri Shashi Chandra, GM (FM), Shri Alok Kumar Ranbir, HOHR Farakka and Senior members of Udita Ladies Club also graced the occasion.

The event commenced with an entry game arrangement for the chief guest, followed by a warm welcome speech by the General Secretary (GS) and Joint General Secretary of Udita Ladies Club. The dignitaries were welcomed with saplings, symbolizing growth and prosperity, and the ceremonial lamp was lit to mark the beginning of the festivities.

The cultural segment of the evening began with a unifying welcome song, followed by a traditional Ganesh Vandana dance. President Udita Ladies Club delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the club's achievements and future endeavours. Treasurer Udita Ladies Club presented the Annual Report.

One of the highlights of the evening was the dance drama "Aaj ki SIYA," which was followed by "100 years of Indian Cinema," celebrating the rich legacy of Indian films. The audience was further entertained with two surprise games. The choreographer of the dance dramas was invited to speak, and a token of gratitude was presented by President ULC & HOP Farakka.

HOP Farakka also addressed the gathering, appreciating the efforts of Udita Ladies Club in fostering community spirit and cultural enrichment.

The celebration continued with a prize distribution ceremony where the winners of the games were awarded by HOP Farakka. A fashion show added glamour to the evening. The event concluded with a group photo.

Smt. Niva Panda, President ULC announced the new committee for the upcoming year. The evening ended with a vote of thanks by the Joint GS Udita Ladies Club.
